Green Mountain Maple

Green Mountain® is the standard for comparison in Sugar Maples. It is the most widely planted selection and has proven itself well over time. It is probably the hardiest Sugar Maple and is the best choice for northern areas. It provides reliable fall color.

October Glory Maple

October Glory® is a round headed selection which is the last cultivar to color in the fall. While it is less cold hardy than most cultivars, it seems to be better adapted to areas with mild winters and hot summer temperatures.

The refined form and foliage of the best Acer rubrum cultivars combine the faster growth rate normally found in Acer x freemanii. A straight and dominant central leader results in strong branch angles that make it easier to grow.

Royal Red Maple

This purple leafed selection is very similar to Crimson King, but is considered by some people to have better cold hardiness.

Sienna Glen Maple
